To Abbie and Aiden
Abbie is one of my many cousins, which means I have known her for most of her life. So, when she asked me to photograph their wedding this past September, I couldn’t help myself by saying yes! She has always been a great friend. Which makes it hard to define Abbie’s personality because people just naturally gravitate to her. She is pretty (peep the following images), fun, not to mention funny, and more importantly, she is loyal. So, when you’re with her you feel as if you are at home. Also, your dad is grandpas twin. It hit me when I was going through these photos how much he looks like grandpa. I really wish that grandpa would have been alive long enough to see you get married. However, his passing brought your husband to Christ. So that is a gift that you’ll be able to share for ever now.
Can we quickly acknowledge how much of a stud your little boy is, Abbie? That little dude is so handsome. Who remembers what he did on the dance floor by going to all the girls his age and dancing with them? You have done a fantastic job with him!
Aiden is not too far from the same. He is very handsome and, having served in the military, is about as loyal as they come. He is also goofier than me, which makes life so much fun. Like Abbie, Aiden is an avid Star Wars fan. Anyways, I had the chance to play video games with Aiden when he was first introduced to our family, and the time that I spent playing with him and Abbie are some of my most cherished gaming memories. Ryan falling asleep at 3 in the morning, Danny always besting me no matter what I did to prevent it (remember lockout? ugh that was so frustrating), getting to know Uncle Danny while playing Borderlands, and then finding out that Aiden proposed to Abbie, someone he met through the medium of playing video games. So many fond memories. Here are some of the groom and groomsman photos. P.S. Your beard is dope Aiden.
Their reception was held at Genesis, a banquet center off Telegraph in South County. My aunt did such a good job designing the centerpieces for a Disney-themed reception. Their cake topper was Peter Pan and Wendy dancing, which I thought was totally fitting.
Abbie and Aiden
Thank you for letting me be part of your wedding and giving me the ability to document your day. I had so much fun. Abbie, you were gorgeous in that dress. And Aiden, I am so glad that I was able to meet you and spend more time with you!
